Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is widely used, but the assumptions made by traditional MRP are struggling in the ever-changing world in which we find ourselves.  We have invented “work-arounds” so that we can have a small chance of success, but these work-arounds are less successful than before and we’re running out of band-aids and duct tape.
