Join APICS Tampa Bay and ASQ for a virtual presentation with Keith Chastain as we learn about leveraging G charts for quality improvement.
G charts are an underused quality tool that can make it easier to monitor processes with rare events. This control chart, based on the geometric distribution, can be more effective than traditional control charts, like the P chart, in timely detection of changes in event rates by providing greater sensitivity to shifts in the process. G charts also have the benefit of not requiring large amounts of data to be useful. During this presentation, an overview of G charts will be provided along with information on how to create, interpret and use the tool for ongoing process monitoring.
